JEE Main 2026 Session 2 Result: Date, Download Link, and Cut-off Updates
April 19, 2026 — The National Testing Agency (NTA) is set to announce the JEE Main Session 2 2026 results on April 20, according to official sources cited by multiple news outlets. Candidates who appeared for the examination between April 2 and April 8, 2026, will be able to access their scorecards and percentile scores via the NTA’s official portal, jeemain.nta.nic.in, starting from the announced date.
The results will include subject-wise scores in Physics, Chemistry, and Mathematics, along with the overall percentile and All India Rank (AIR). NTA has confirmed that the final answer key for Session 2 will be released alongside the results, allowing candidates to raise objections if any discrepancies are found, within a stipulated window.
Candidates are advised to download and save their scorecards immediately after release, as the document will be required for participation in the Joint Seat Allocation Authority (JoSAA) counselling process for admission to undergraduate engineering programs at IITs, NITs, IIITs, and other centrally funded technical institutions.
For those seeking admission based on their scores, preliminary cut-off trends suggest that candidates scoring above the 60th percentile may have opportunities at certain state-level and private engineering colleges, while scores above the 70th and 80th percentiles are typically competitive for admission to NITs and select IIITs. However, final cut-offs will depend on various factors including the number of applicants, seat availability, and category-wise reservations.
NTA has urged candidates to verify their personal details on the scorecard, including name, roll number, and category, and to contact the official helpdesk in case of any discrepancies. No re-evaluation of responses will be permitted after the final answer key is released and objections are processed.
The agency has also clarified that Session 2 scores will be normalized across multiple shifts to ensure fairness, and the best score from either Session 1 or Session 2 will be considered for final ranking, as per the established policy.
Candidates are encouraged to monitor the official NTA website and registered email addresses for any updates regarding the result declaration time, downloading procedures, or changes to the counselling schedule.
