High Court Appointments
The Judicial Commission of Pakistan concluded separate meetings at the Supreme Court premises. The commission, through majority votes, selected new Chief Justices for the Peshawar, Balochistan, Sindh, and Islamabad High Courts. The nominations aim to fill key judicial roles.
Mr. Justice S.M. Attique Shah, currently the Acting Chief Justice of the Peshawar High Court, has been chosen as its Chief Justice. Mr. Justice Rozi Khan Barrech, acting as the Chief Justice of the High Court of Balochistan, is nominated for the Chief Justice position there. Furthermore, Mr. Justice Muhammad Junaid Ghaffar, the Acting Chief Justice of the High Court of Sindh, will become its Chief Justice. Lastly, Mr. Justice Sardar Muhammad Sarfraz Dogar, Acting Chief Justice of Islamabad High Court, is nominated as the Chief Justice of the Islamabad High Court.
