Nîmes,France – La Japanonymes, the regional hub for manga and Japanese culture enthusiasts, returns to Nîmes this weekend with a considerably expanded event, doubling in size and featuring a record 43 exhibitors. The convention, taking place October 4th and 5th at the Domaine HastaLuego (940 chemin de Florival), promises a vibrant celebration of Japanese arts, entertainment, and cuisine.
This year’s Japanonymes aims to cultivate a welcoming atmosphere for both seasoned fans and newcomers, with a particular focus on showcasing emerging creators. “With a lot of young creators,” notes organizer Julie Orlhac, the event prioritizes exchange and proximity over the scale of larger conventions, fostering a “family ambiance.” Attendees can expect to discover illustrators, tattoo artists, jewelry designers, home décor artisans, katana vendors, and fashion accessory creators.
