Jamie Oliver Restaurant in Dundrum Closes – Lease Expiration Confirmed
The Jamie Oliver Italian restaurant in Dundrum Town Centre, Dublin, closed its doors on Saturday, March 21st, 2026, after fourteen years in operation. The closure confirms reports circulating earlier in the day and marks another setback for the Dublin restaurant scene.
The restaurant, which first opened in 2012, was a franchise operated by Enforge PCC, a company whose sole director is Gerry Fitzpatrick. Attempts to reach Fitzpatrick for comment were unsuccessful, according to The Irish Times.
While the closure initially prompted speculation about broader financial difficulties, a spokesperson for the business told the Sunday Business Post that the decision was due to the expiration of the lease on the 4,500 square foot unit. This explanation contrasts with the circumstances surrounding previous closures within the Jamie Oliver Restaurant Group, which underwent a substantial restructuring in 2019, resulting in the closure of 22 UK restaurants and approximately 1,000 job losses.
The Dundrum location had been a mainstay at the shopping centre for over a decade, and a recent review published by DublinLive on March 7th, 2026, highlighted the restaurant’s continued presence. Although, the review also noted concerns about the pricing structure.
The closure does not impact the Jamie Oliver branded restaurant on Exchequer Street in Dublin city centre, Chequer Lane, which is operated by a separate Fitzpatrick company, Enforge Exchequer Street. The Dundrum restaurant’s closure follows a recent closure of The Flying Duck in Dundrum Town Centre, attributed to “challenging circumstances,” as reported by Dublin Live.
