INDIANAPOLIS – Andretti Global has secured Jake Dennis’s commitment for multiple future seasons in the ABB FIA Formula E World Championship, the team announced Thursday. The extension, coming exactly five years after Dennis’s Formula E debut, reaffirms a partnership that has already yielded significant success for both driver and team.
Dennis, the Season 9 World Champion, will continue with Andretti through Season 13 and beyond, according to the team. The British driver began his Formula E career with Andretti at the 2021 Diriyah E-Prix, initially joining the BMW i Andretti Motorsport squad.
Since then, Dennis has amassed seven race wins, 24 podium finishes and over 700 career points, becoming Andretti’s most successful Formula E driver. His accomplishments include setting records for most points (229) and podiums (11) scored in a single season, as well as the most Formula E Grand Slams (2) and Final Duel appearances (14).
The 30-year-old Dennis currently sits eighth in the 2025/26 drivers’ championship standings with 39 points, following a pole position and victory at the Google Cloud São Paulo E-Prix earlier this season. He has scored points in all but one race so far this campaign.
“I’m absolutely thrilled to be signing a multi-year deal with Andretti Global,” Dennis said in a statement. “For me, it made perfect sense to continue our partnership and my career with the team, a team which I’ve been with from the start of my Formula E career. The belief the team has shown in me over the years has been incredible, and that trust means a huge amount. We’ve built something really strong together, and I’m proud to continue that journey with a group of people I know so well and genuinely enjoy working with. There have been so many great memories together, and I’m confident we can continue our success into the future.”
Roger Griffiths, Team Principal of Andretti Formula E, highlighted the evolution of the relationship. “I am beyond pleased to be able to make this announcement. At the time, when the team, along with BMW, initially partnered with Jake, we never could have imagined how the relationship would develop. Jake has been an integral part of Andretti Formula E’s transformation into one of the series’ leading teams of today. His commitment to us, his belief in the team and ours in him, is one of the key reasons for all of the success we have been fortunate enough to have experienced together. We look forward to closing out the current season as strong as we started it before transitioning to Season 13 together.”
Andretti Global operates under the TWG Motorsports umbrella. The team has not announced details regarding Dennis’s car number for the upcoming seasons.
