Jada Seubert Commits to Iowa Women’s Basketball: Why She Chose the Hawkeyes
After announcing her commitment to Iowa women’s basketball on Jan.17, top-ranked 2027 Wisconsin prospect Jada Seubert discussed what led to her decision to choose the Hawkeyes over several other highly-respected programs.
When asked by the local NBC affiliate,WJFW,about her decision to commit to Iowa,Seubert said her relationship with the Hawkeyes’ coaching staff and the Iowa City community were notable factors.
“For me, it’s always been about the relationships. When I was narrowing down my options and trying to choose, I went on a couple of visits, and the peopel there felt like my people. That was a big part of it,” Seubert said.
In another interview with ABC affiliate, WAOW, Seubert shared how she sees herself fitting in at Iowa.
“Watching them play, I think I could fit in really well. My ability to score at all three levels would be a good fit, and then obviously transitioning to playing fast,” Seubert said.
By committing to the hawkeyes early, Seubert said she plans on shifting her focus to development.
