IUP’s Dallis Dillard Named Bevo Francis Award Finalist | Small College Basketball
FORT MYERS, FL – Indiana University of Pennsylvania (IUP) redshirt senior Dallis Dillard has been named a finalist for the Bevo Francis Award, recognizing him as one of the top 50 small college basketball players in the nation, the National Awards Committee announced Sunday.
The Bevo Francis Award, now in its tenth year, honors the outstanding player across NCAA Division II, Division III, NAIA, USCAA, and NCCAA programs. Dillard’s recognition places him among an elite group of players vying for the award, which has turn into a prestigious honor outside of Division I basketball.
This season, Dillard has averaged 21.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 5.1 assists, and 2.7 steals per game for the Crimson Hawks. His performance has established him as a key leader on both offense and defense. He currently ranks among the national leaders in steals and steals per game, highlighting his defensive prowess alongside his scoring ability.
Within the Pennsylvania State Athletic Conference (PSAC), Dillard leads the conference in scoring, ranks second in assists, and tops the league in steals. His all-around contributions have positioned him as one of the conference’s most complete players this season, according to IUP Athletics.
Dillard is one of two PSAC players to be named to the Bevo Francis Top 50 list. He is joined by sophomore Pace Prosser from Gannon University, demonstrating the strength of the conference in Division II basketball this year.
The list of 50 finalists will be further trimmed in the coming weeks, with the eventual winner announced later in the 2025-26 season.
