IU Columbus Men’s Soccer Celebrates five All-RSC Selections & Champions of Character Honoree
COLUMBUS, OH – Five IU Columbus Crimson Pride men’s soccer players earned River States Conference (RSC) honors following the conclusion of the 2025 season. Junior Jacob Kasarda,fifth-year senior Eduardo Cordova,junior Kevin Cruz,and sophomore Christian cardoso were all named to the 3rd Team All-RSC. Additionally, junior Alejandro Saldivar was recognized for his exemplary character and leadership with a spot on the RSC Champions of Character Team.
Kasarda, the team’s starting goalkeeper, led the RSC with 104 total saves and ranked fourth in save percentage (.722). He recorded three shutouts while logging over 1,300 minutes in goal. Cordova anchored the defense as a veteran,starting all 16 matches and contributing to the team’s defensive improvement. Cruz proved to be a key offensive threat, scoring five goals in 15 appearances. Cardoso added a spark to the offense, finishing fourth in the conference with 41 total shots, and contributing four goals and three assists.
Saldivar’s champions of Character selection recognizes his embodiment of the NAIA’s five core values: integrity, respect, obligation, sportsmanship, and servant leadership. He appeared in 16 matches, recording one goal and one assist.
IU Columbus concluded the 2025 season with an overall record of 6-10-1 and a 3-6 conference record. The honors represent continued progress for the Crimson Pride as they strive to become a competitive force within the River States Conference.
