Israeli Demolitions in West Bank Follow East Jerusalem Attack, Amid Rising Palestinian Death Toll
Al-Qubayba, West Bank – Following an attack in East Jerusalem, the Israeli army demolished the home of one of the alleged perpetrators in Al-Qubayba, in the West Bank on September 27, 2025. The demolition caused significant damage to four or five neighboring houses, according to witnesses.Israel routinely destroys the homes of Palestinians accused of attacks against Israelis, a practice stemming from it’s occupation of the West Bank since 1967.
The demolition occurred after Israeli soldiers stormed the city, evacuating residents before detonating the building, as reported by the official Palestinian news agency Wafa.This action underscores the escalating tensions in the region and the ongoing cycle of violence. The incident comes as a new assessment by the Ministry of Health administered by Hamas reports that more than 66,000 people have been killed in Gaza since the start of the conflict.
“It is the very nature of the occupation. It is not content to harm an individual, but seeks to inflict damage to the greatest possible number of citizens,” lamented a local resident, Hamouda.
Since the October 7th attack, at least 983 Palestinians have been killed in the West Bank, including many activists, according to the Palestinian Ministry of Health. Simultaneously, at least 36 Israelis, including security forces, have been killed in Palestinian attacks or Israeli military operations, according to official figures.
