Former Car Saleswoman Quits Job After Realizing She Was “Forced to lie,” Finds Success in Journalism
Isabelle Ithurburu, now a prominent face on TF1-hosting 50’Inside,covering rugby, and filling in for Marie-Sophie Lacarrau on the 1 p.m. news-didn’t envision a career in broadcasting. her path began with a short-lived and deeply unsatisfying stint selling car loans.
“I sold car loans, I hated it as you had to lie to people,” Ithurburu revealed on the YouTube channel On Time. “Clearly, it didn’t last long.”
Prior to journalism, Ithurburu briefly pursued a musical dream, auditioning for the reality show la Nouvelle Star. Though she enjoyed singing, she acknowledged her limitations, being eliminated after her first performance of “Butterfly” by Superbus. “Zero regrets! I love to sing,” she stated.”Today,it’s lullabies and little songs for my daughter… I don’t sing very well, but I just change.” She further admitted, “I was not at all made for that… I never composed, I never had the idea for a song… I don’t have a grate voice.”
Ithurburu’s career ultimately took off after a casting call by Infosport, seeking new journalistic talent. she had previously worked in an import-export company in the Paris region. This prospect launched her into the world of journalism,a profession where, unlike her previous role, honesty wasn’t a compromise. She is now preparing to host the revival of Stars at Home.
