Ireland U19 Women Announce Namibia Tour for World Cup Prep
The Ireland Under-19s Women’s cricket squad will travel to Namibia on October 21, 2026, to play a six-match T20 series against the Capricorn Eagles, cricketireland.ie reported.
Namibia Tour Prepares Squad for World Cup
The upcoming tour serves as a direct preparation phase for the ICC Under-19 Women’s Cricket World Cup scheduled for next January in Bangladesh and Nepal. The touring party includes players selected for their balance of international experience and emerging talent. Head Coach Nigel Jones highlighted the roster composition ahead of the departure.

The squad also features two Irish passport holders who have been monitored closely in prior training environments. Alice Tector of Phoenix has been appointed captain for the campaign.

The six-match series takes place at the Namibia Cricket Ground, kicking off with the opening fixture on October 25. The schedule includes a pair of doubleheader T20s late in the month as part of the tour.
