Ireland Rugby Fixtures 2026: Men’s & Women’s Schedules Confirmed
Ireland’s men’s and women’s rugby union teams have published their fixture lists for 2026, with Andy Farrell’s men’s squad set to face Australia, Japan and New Zealand in a July Nations Championship series, while the women’s team will initiate their Six Nations campaign against England in April.
The men’s team will first travel to Sydney to face Australia on July 4th, followed by a match against Japan on July 11th, with the location and kick-off time yet to be confirmed. The series will conclude with a challenging fixture against New Zealand at Auckland’s Eden Park on July 18th. Later in the year, the men’s team will host Argentina, Fiji and South Africa in the Autumn Nations Series at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium in November.
Ireland’s women’s team will begin their 2026 Women’s Six Nations campaign with a match against England at Twickenham on April 11th. They will then return to Ireland to host Italy on April 18th, before travelling to France on April 25th. Further home fixtures against Wales on May 9th and Scotland on May 17th will follow. The match against Scotland will be historic, marking the first ever standalone women’s international at Dublin’s Aviva Stadium.
The men’s schedule follows a 2025 Six Nations campaign where Ireland finished second. The women’s team completed their 2025 schedule with a narrow defeat to France in the quarter-finals of the Women’s Rugby World Cup.
According to reports from November 2025, Jamie Osborne is likely to miss the remainder of the November Series due to a serious arm/shoulder injury sustained during a match. Ireland coach Andy Farrell stated at the time that the injury “doesn’t look good” and that Osborne “may have broken something.”
The Irish men’s team will be bolstered by the return of British &. Irish Lions players for the Autumn Nations Series.
