Inter Miami & Adidas Extend Partnership with New Stadium Presence
Inter Miami CF and Adidas have extended their partnership for another five years, solidifying a relationship that began with the club’s launch six seasons ago. The renewed agreement, announced Tuesday, will notice Adidas maintain its role as the Major League Soccer (MLS) club’s kit supplier and significantly expand its presence within Inter Miami’s new stadium, Nu Stadium, set to open on April 4.
The centerpiece of the partnership is a 11,000-square-foot, two-story team store within Nu Stadium, which is being touted as the largest in MLS. Adidas will have a substantial “experiential component” on both floors of the store, offering fans an immersive brand experience. The deal also includes Adidas branding on sports fields within Miami Freedom Park, inclusion on Inter Miami CF’s preseason tours, integration into the club’s social media channels, and prominent in-stadium signage.
“I’m extremely impressed seeing the investment here and hearing the plans that Inter Miami CF has for this city,” said Adidas CEO Bjørn Gulden. “It’s one of the anchors for growing soccer in America. I’m looking forward to the first game. We believe in the project, and I’m also sure we will extend after the five years. We are really excited about the future both for Inter Miami and, of course, for soccer in general in this country.”
The partnership extension comes as Inter Miami experiences a surge in popularity, fueled in large part by the arrival of Lionel Messi. The club’s Adidas kit is currently the top-selling jersey in the league. Inter Miami has been actively securing commercial deals this month, including a stadium naming rights agreement with Brazilian financial services company Nu and renewed and expanded partnerships with Lowe’s, elevating the home improvement retailer to sleeve sponsor, and Duracell.
Adidas has been a key partner for Inter Miami since its inception, also serving as the official kit supplier through its broader agreement with MLS. The five-year extension signifies a continued commitment from both sides as Inter Miami aims to establish itself as a leading force in American soccer.
