Innsbruck Launches “Coll: B am Hof” – Open Stage for Art, Science, and Youth Engagement
Innsbruck, Tyrol – A new project, “coll: B am Hof,” is set to transform a public space in Innsbruck into an accessible hub for art, science, and youth activities, offering free film screenings, workshops, and a platform for community engagement. The initiative, spearheaded by the Tyrolean State Museums and the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival, aims to lower barriers to cultural experiences and foster a vibrant public sphere.
The project responds to a growing need for accessible cultural opportunities, particularly for young people. Elisabeth Stark of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival emphasized the importance of making “art and science” freely accessible, while Gerlinde tamerl-Lugger of the Tyrolean State Museums highlighted the goal of providing “many low-threshold occasions to keep coming to us in the museum.” “Coll: B am Hof” builds on prior collaborative efforts with local communities, ensuring the project is deeply rooted in the needs and interests of the region.
The initiative will feature a free screening of the film “Ancient Caves” as part of the Innsbruck Nature Film Festival’s involvement. additionally, ”Bilding,” an art and architecture school for children and adolescents, will host a workshop focused on experiencing and interacting with public space, lead by Lea Abendstein. The Tyrolean State Museums are also offering a “youth card” providing discounts on various cultural experiences throughout the Land Tyrol region.
