Indonesia FIFA Series Squad: Full List & Surprising Omissions

March 21, 2026 Alex Carter - Sports Editor Sport

Jakarta – Indonesia’s national football team has announced its final 24-man squad for the upcoming FIFA Series, with several surprising omissions made by head coach John Herdman. The team is scheduled to face Saint Kitts & Nevis on March 27, 2026, at the Gelora Bung Karno Main Stadium.

The goalkeeping position saw Ernando Ari lose his place in the squad, with Cahya Supriadi, Nadeo Argawinata, Maarten Paes, and Emil Audero selected instead. Herdman has brought four goalkeepers to anticipate the intensity of the matches, according to reports.

The defensive line features familiar names such as Jay Idzes, Rizky Ridho, and Justin Hubner, even as the inclusion of Dony Tri Pamungkas signals Herdman’s commitment to providing opportunities for younger players. Notably, Elkan Baggott returns to the national team after a two-year absence, a move highlighted by Indonesian media.

A significant change sees Jordi Amat listed among the midfielders, reflecting his role as a defensive midfielder for Persija Jakarta. He will be joined by Eliano Reijnders, Joey Pelupessy, Calvin Verdonk, and Ivar Jenner in the midfield. Ricky Kambuaya has been removed from the squad for this FIFA Matchday.

The forward line will consist of Beckham Putra, Ragnar Oratmangoen, Mauro Zijlstra, Ramadhan Sananta, Yakob Sayuri, and Ole Romeny. Surprisingly, Ezra Walian, who has been in impressive form for Persik Kediri with six goals and nine assists this season, was not included in the final selection.

Squad List:

Goalkeepers: Cahya Supriadi, Nadeo Argawinata, Maarten Paes, Emil Audero

Defenders: Dean James, Dony Tri Pamungkas, Elkan Baggott, Jay Idzes, Justin Hubner, Kevin Diks, Nathan Tjoe-A-On, Rizky Ridho, Sandy Walsh

Midfielders: Calvin Verdonk, Eliano Reijnders, Ivar Jenner, Joey Pelupessy, Jordi Amat

Forwards: Beckham Putra, Mauro Zijlstra, Ole Romeny, Ragnar Oratmangoen, Ramadhan Sananta, Yakob Sayuri

Herdman took over the national team in early 2026, replacing Patrick Kluivert, after the latter’s tenure ended in October 2025 following a failure to qualify for the 2026 World Cup. He initially called up 41 players for preparation, later trimming the list to the final 24. Miliano Jonathans was forced to withdraw due to a severe ACL injury sustained in the Dutch league.

Persija Jakarta is the most represented club in the squad, contributing four players: Rizky Ridho, Dony Tri Pamungkas, Jordi Amat, and Mauro Zijlstra.

The FIFA Series 2026 will feature Bulgaria, Solomon Islands, and Saint Kitts and Nevis alongside Indonesia. If Indonesia wins their first match against Saint Kitts & Nevis, they will face the winner of the Bulgaria versus Solomon Islands match.
