A young Indian cricketer has set a new benchmark in Youth Test history, becoming the youngest player to achieve a wicket in this format of the game. The record was set at the age of 14 years and 107 days. This achievement also marks the youngest Indian player to participate and claim a wicket in a Youth Test match.

Previously, the record for the youngest wicket-taker in Youth Test cricket was held by an Indian player who achieved this feat at 13 years and 241 days.This earlier record was established in 2019 during a match held in Thiruvananthapuram.
