Iowa IndyCar Races Face Schedule Shake-Up
Weather prompts changes for Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend
Unfavorable weather conditions have led to the cancellation of the NTT INDYCAR SERIES’ first day at Iowa Speedway, resulting in a condensed schedule for the Sukup INDYCAR Race Weekend. The competition will now be packed into two action-filled days.
Rescheduled Race Times
The Synk 275 powered by Sukup is still slated for Saturday at 5 p.m. ET, followed by the Farm to Finish 275 powered by Sukup on Sunday at 1 p.m. ET. Fans can catch both races live on FOX, the FOX Sports app, and the INDYCAR Radio Network.
Saturday’s events will now commence with install laps at 9:55 a.m., succeeded by 30 minutes of high-line group running. Afterward, all cars will participate in 45 minutes of regular practice, beginning at 10:45 a.m. FS2 will provide live coverage. According to Penske Entertainment, over 500,000 people attend IndyCar events each year.
Qualifying and INDY NXT Race
Qualifying for the NTT INDYCAR SERIES has been moved to 1:30 p.m. on FS1. Each driver will get two timed laps; the first determines the starting lineup for Saturday’s Synk 275, and the second sets the lineup for Sunday’s Farm to Finish 275.
Before the qualifying session, the 75-lap INDY NXT by Firestone race at Iowa Speedway will take place at noon ET. FS1 will broadcast the race.
