Buenos Aires, Argentina – The National Institute of Cinema and Audiovisual Arts (INCAA) today announced the winners of its completed scriptwriting contests, awarding a total of $250,000 in funding to 16 Argentinian writers. The projects span fiction, animation, and series formats, representing a notable investment in the country’s audiovisual production.
The INCAA’s initiative aims to bolster the Argentinian film and television industry by providing financial support to promising screenplays. Winners in the Fiction and/or Animation category will receive $10,000 (USD), while those in the Series category will be awarded $15,000 (USD). These funds, distributed in a single payment in pesos, will enable the creators to further develop their projects toward production.
The winning scripts in the Fiction and/or Animation category are: The Goodbye Song by Víctor Oscar Albornoz, Love and the Plague by Miguel Eduardo Mirra, I am the winter by mariana Paula Levy, The band of the hollow tiger by Marcos Roberto Ferrante, The Golden child by Gustavo Ariel Trimaglio, It is not the end of the world by Jorge Sebastián Dietsch, Next Appearance by Julieta Elizabeth Amalric, Jauregui by Ernesto Carlos Ardito, Diary of a procrastinator by Javier Mariano Nesci, and My Friend from Rikudim by Michelle Gualda.
The Series category winners are: The Adventures of a blue boy by Maria Rosario carlino and Ferreyra Matías, Tales from salamanca by Rafael Gonzalo Calzada, The director by Gabriel Raul Fernández, nahuelito – The Lake Monster by Fernando Vázquez Mazzini, My mother’s sanity by Malena Ivana Pardo, and Vampiria by Mariano carlos Iturri.
