Imprint Television Sets Fall Blu-Ray ‌Lineup ‌with ‘Stingray,’ Cult Classics

Imprint⁣ Television announced today a robust fall​ release schedule featuring ‍a diverse ​selection of sci-fi, ‍action, and mystery titles arriving on Blu-ray. The collection includes rare and sought-after programs, catering to both dedicated fans and new audiences discovering these cult favorites. Among the highlights is a limited edition release of ⁣Gerry and Sylvia Anderson‘s groundbreaking 1964 series, Stingray.

Stingray, the first British TV series ⁤filmed entirely in color, follows ‍Captain Troy​ Tempest and his crew aboard the super submarine Stingray as they defend mankind against underwater threats like the⁣ Aquaphibians, Terror Fish, and the villainous Titan.⁣ The 7-disc Blu-ray set includes all 39 episodes, both compilation films in HD,⁣ and a 150-page hardcover booklet, packaged in a limited edition ‌hardbox of only ‌1500 copies. The ‌release⁢ boasts 1080p high-definition presentation and a wealth ⁣of new ⁢and archival special features, including audio commentaries⁣ with stingray comic author Graeme Bassett, Andersonic ⁤ editor Richard Farrell, and ITC Entertained The World podcast hosts Jaz Wiseman and Al Samujh. Also included are commentaries by co-creator Gerry Anderson ​(recorded in‌ 2001), a⁤ 2022 documentary titled We Are About to Launch Stingray!, and a Sylvia ​Anderson interview. Additional features⁢ encompass Japanese presentation footage,home⁢ movies,image galleries,and vintage advertisements. Audio is English LPCM 2.0 Mono with optional English HOH subtitles, presented in a 1.33:1 ‌aspect ratio. As described by ‌Robert Sellers, Stingray is “the first ⁢truly classic Anderson show.”
