Immigration detains four foreign men in Jalan Klang Lama venue raid
Immigration authorities raided an entertainment venue in Jalan Klang Lama early Saturday morning, detaining four foreign men during a special operation targeting illicit establishments employing foreign nationals for unauthorized dance performances.
Early Morning Raid Targets Jalan Klang Lama Venue
Immigration Director-General Datuk Zakaria Shaaban said the operation commenced at 12:05 am following a month of surveillance and public tips. Enforcement personnel arrested three Chinese nationals and one Filipino man, ranging in age from 21 to 31. Initial checks revealed that none of the four detainees possessed valid travel documents or entry passes.
Inside the Klang Valley Entertainment Outlet
The raid was conducted with operational support from the National Anti Drug Agency. According to investigators, the outlet had been operating since last year, catering to both local and foreign patrons across the Klang Valley.
Depending on table reservations and beverage orders, the establishment charged customers between RM53 and RM700.
Detainees Transferred to Putrajaya for Processing
Following the arrests, immigration officials transferred the four foreign detainees to the Immigration Department office in Putrajaya for further processing and investigation.
Authorities are handling the case under Section 6(1)(c) of the Immigration Act 1959/63, which penalizes individuals for entering or remaining in Malaysia without a valid pass or permit.
Local Men Summoned as Joint Enforcement Continues
In addition to the foreign nationals taken into custody, enforcement officers issued official notices to three local men at the scene, directing them to assist ongoing inquiries into the establishment’s operations.
Zakaria stated that the Immigration Department will maintain joint enforcement operations alongside other government agencies to crack down on unauthorized entertainment venues and immigration violations.
