Imelda Mullery (nee Dunne), a long-time resident of 6 St Phelim’s Place, Cavan Town, passed away peacefully on Thursday, June 26th, 2025, at the age of 90. She was under the dedicated care of the staff at Esker Ri Nursing Home in Clara, Co. Offaly.

Born Imelda Dunne,she was predeceased by her parents,joseph and Mary Kate,and also her husband,Richard (Dickie) Mullery,and her brothers,Anthony,Brendan,and Desmond. She is survived by her children, Joe, Bernadette, and Richard. She will be deeply missed by her daughter-in-law, Una; son-in-law, Michael (Smyth); her grandchildren, Stephen, Niamh, David, and Jessica; and her great-grandchildren, Benjamin and Elisa. Her nieces, nephews, neighbors, and friends will also mourn her passing.

Imelda Mullery will repose at Lawless Funeral Home, Mucklagh, Co. Offaly (R35 C5P6) on Sunday, June 29th, from 1:30 PM to 3:30 PM. Later,she will repose at Mc Mahon Funeral Home,Farnham Rd,Cavan H12C821 on Sunday,June 29th,from 7:00 PM to 9:00 PM.
The funeral procession will depart on Monday, June 30th, for the Cathedral of Saints Patrick & St Felim via Wolfe Tone Street, where the funeral mass will be held at 11:00 AM. burial will follow in the family plot at st. Brigid’s Cemetery, Killygarry.
