IEM Krakow 2026 Recap: Counter-Strike & Esports Highlights

The Counter-Strike 2 community’s focus has shifted to the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 tournament following the conclusion of Intel Extreme Masters (IEM) Kraków 2026 on February 8th, 2026. The upcoming event in Cluj-Napoca, Romania, will feature 16 elite teams competing for a prize pool of $1.25 million.

IEM Kraków 2026, organized by ESL and sponsored by Intel, DHL, and FACEIT, concluded after hosting 24 teams at the TAURON Arena Kraków from January 28th to February 8th, with a total prize pool of $1,000,000. The tournament was part of the IEM series, which includes events in Dallas, Cologne, Chengdu, and Rio, among others, forming the ESL Grand Slam VI circuit.

PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 will mark a return to the BTarena for the final three days of competition. PGL also announced plans for PGL Wallachia Season 9, scheduled for September 17-27, 2026, a shift from its originally planned dates of November 3-15. PGL is preparing to host the PGL CS2 Major Singapore 2026, set to take place between November 25 and December 13, 2026.

PGL Astana 2026, a Tier 1 Counter-Strike 2 event, is also scheduled for May 7–18, 2026, with the final three days held at the Barys Arena. The maps expected to be featured in the PGL Cluj-Napoca 2026 tournament include Ancient, Anubis, Dust II, Inferno, Mirage, Nuke, and Overpass.
