On September 20, Gondzic announced via online comments that the property had been removed from the market. The final sale price and the identity of the buyer remain undisclosed. At the time of filming in 1999, the property belonged to the film’s screenwriter, Richard Curtis, who sold it shortly after the movie’s theatrical release.

The original blue door from the production was auctioned off by Christie’s shortly after the film’s premiere, fetching 5,750 pounds before being replaced with a black door.
