‘Apple of Healthcare’ Neko Health Reveals Early Scan Results: 1.2% received Potentially Life-Saving diagnoses
Stockholm, Sweden - A new health scanning service, Neko Health, dubbed the “Apple of Healthcare,” is generating buzz after releasing data from its second year of operation in Stockholm. The company, offering a comprehensive health “MOT” for £299, scanned 4,362 individuals in 2024, identifying previously unknown health concerns in nearly one in five.
Neko Health utilizes advanced scanning technology to provide a detailed overview of an individual’s health.according to the company’s findings, 81.3 percent of those scanned showed no immediate health issues, with Neko Health providing guidance on optimizing and maintaining wellness. However, 18.7 percent required medical treatment. Critically, 1.2 percent of the scanned population received diagnoses for severe conditions – including cardiovascular disease, serious metabolic disorders, and skin cancer – that were potentially life-saving through early detection.
“The group which is of most interest and potential is the one where they find nothing wrong,” explained Hjalmar, Neko’s co-founder. The focus, he stated, is on proactively maintaining health and preventing future illness, believing this preventative approach will ultimately have the biggest impact on public health.
currently, the cost of the scan presents a barrier to widespread access. Neko health acknowledges the price point – £299 – is prohibitive for many and hopes advancements in technology, particularly in the field of AI, will drive down costs and increase accessibility.
One recent user described the experience as reassuring, noting the detailed data on blood fats and heart health provided peace of mind. They also highlighted the usefulness of the skin map, suggesting it offered more comprehensive analysis than a standard GP appointment.
while the current scan provides a broad health overview, the company recognizes potential for future customization, including expanding into areas like reproductive health and mental wellbeing. Neko Health envisions customers returning annually to build a longitudinal health profile, enabling proactive intervention and illness prevention.
The company aims to evolve from a luxury service to a fundamental component of healthcare systems, ensuring preventative care is accessible to all.
