Singer Hyun Jin-young has opened up about his struggles with mental health and his wife’s support during a difficult period. He revealed that his wife encouraged him to seek help, even suggesting he go to a mental hospital when he was unable to cope.
Hyun Jin-young held a press conference to discuss his condition,stating,”I will go to the hospital and get treatment.” He shared the emotional toll of his struggles, admitting, “I went to the hospital on the day of the album, and I couldn’t work at all. I thought it was ruined. Thank you.”
He also spoke about the pressure he felt from his management team regarding album marketing. “Whenever I have released an album, my manager and others say, ‘If you think about what to do with marketing?'” Hyun Jin-young recounted, his voice trembling.
Following his public treatment, Hyun Jin-young has made meaningful progress. His public service activities aimed at combating drug use helped to reshape public perception, allowing him to move past the “drug entertainer” label that had previously defined him.

Meanwhile, the past of hyun Jin-young’s wife, Oh Seo-woon, known for her role as the “Queen of the Father,” has resurfaced and garnered attention. Oh Seo-woon debuted in 1995 on KBS2’s ‘New generation Report Adults I don’t know.’ In 2005, she made a memorable appearance in MBC’s drama ‘My name is Kim Sam-soon,’ playing Hyun Bin’s love interest. Despite her brief role, her striking beauty left a lasting impression.
Hyun Jin-young, currently 54 years old, and his wife Oh Seo-woon, who is six years his junior, have been candid about their challenges in conceiving a child, having undergone 17 rounds of in vitro fertilization (IVF). In an appearance on TV Chosun’s ‘Perfect Life’ on April 9, Hyun Jin-young shared his emotional journey.”My couple married in 2012. We thought a child would naturally occur when we decided, but we lived so busy, and I was forty and then fifty,” he explained. “We challenged the test tube procedure once or twice.
