Hybrid Boys Week in Austin: Dan Churchill & Trending Stories

March 24, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

Filming for a new YouTube series featuring performance chef and athlete Dan Churchill and fitness personality Nick Bare began in Austin, Texas, on March 19, 2025, according to a post on Churchill’s Instagram account.

The series, described in the post as encompassing “thresholds,” a podcast recording, leg workouts and a steak cook-off, signals a continued expansion of Churchill’s media presence. Churchill, originally gaining recognition on Australian MasterChef, has since built a profile centered on the intersection of nutrition, athletic performance, and culinary expertise.

Churchill’s work focuses on “evidence-based nutrition and elite training,” equipping individuals to “fuel with precision, train with intention, and achieve their potential,” as detailed on his website, danchurchill.com. He is the author of the cookbook Eat Like a Legend, which translates performance nutrition into accessible recipes. The book has been featured on Good Morning America and in Men’s Health.

A Forbes 30 Under 30 honoree and an ON Athlete, Churchill completed the Leadville 100 ultramarathon, demonstrating the practical application of his performance-focused philosophy. His approach emphasizes that food should “power your life—not complicate it,” offering recipes designed for energy, recovery, and sustained health without sacrificing enjoyment.

Churchill actively shares insights and ideas on X, describing the platform as a space where “food, movement, and mindset collide in real time.” He also maintains a newsletter, “The Legendary Newsletter,” which provides subscribers with training insights, recipes, recovery systems, and mindset tools. According to his website, the newsletter currently has over 17,000 subscribers.

In a post on X from March 2021, Churchill noted his own tanning limitations compared to others, a seemingly unrelated observation that highlights his active social media presence and engagement with his followers.

The collaboration with Nick Bare, known for his fitness content, suggests a broadening of Churchill’s reach within the health and wellness space. Details regarding the release date and platform for the new YouTube series have not yet been announced.
