The Husson University Eagles defeated Vermont State University Lyndon 111-75 in a North Atlantic Conference (NAC) men’s basketball game on Saturday, extending their winning streak to seven games and improving their record to 15-9 overall and 14-3 in conference play. The game, played in Bangor, Maine, saw Riles Neff lead Husson with a strong offensive performance.
This victory comes after Husson previously defeated VTSU Lyndon 102-75 on January 7th, 2025, a game where Neff also led the scoring with 22 points. That earlier loss dropped Lyndon to 4-9 overall and 1-1 in the NAC.
Husson’s baseball team also recently completed a sweep of VTSU Lyndon in a doubleheader on April 14, 2025, winning 9-3 and 13-0. Evan Duncan hit a leadoff solo homerun for Lyndon in the first game, but Husson rallied, with Matt Holmes providing a game-winning RBI sacrifice fly. Jackson Curtis had three hits in that game and later broke the all-time program record for runs driven in with 161, surpassing Justin Spencer’s previous mark of 160.
The Husson Eagles baseball team is currently undefeated in the NAC at 8-0. They are scheduled to host SUNY Cobleskill in another league doubleheader on Tuesday, with both teams currently unbeaten in conference play.
