Huawei Nova Y74 and HP 4G Announced with 6,620mAh Battery
Huawei has expanded its mid-range and entry-level smartphone portfolios with the introduction of the Nova 16 series and the Nova Y74. The new devices emphasize battery capacity and advanced connectivity features, including satellite communication capabilities for select models.
The Nova 16 Series
The Huawei Nova 16 and Nova 16z have been officially launched, targeting users who require robust hardware and communication reliability. A primary technical highlight of the Nova 16 is the integration of the Kirin 9010S chipset. Both the Nova 16 and the 16z models feature satellite-based communication technology, enabling users to transmit both text messages and photographs even in locations lacking cellular network coverage.

To support sustained usage, the Nova 16 is equipped with a 7,000 mAh battery. This focus on power management remains a central design pillar for the company’s recent hardware releases.
Nova Y74 Entry-Level Offering
Complementing the higher-tier Nova 16 devices, Huawei has released the Nova Y74. This smartphone is designed for the 4G market segment and prioritizes longevity through a 6,620 mAh battery. The device supports 40W speedy charging, a feature intended to reduce downtime for the large-capacity battery.
The rollout of these devices follows the company’s ongoing focus on developing hardware that integrates its proprietary operating systems and semiconductor technology. While the Nova 16 series positions itself with advanced satellite messaging features, the Nova Y74 serves as a battery-focused option within the company’s broader product ecosystem.
Huawei has not yet disclosed specific release dates for individual international markets, nor has it provided a detailed schedule for the subsequent global distribution of these models.
