Houston Volleyball to Honor Seniors in Final Match Against No. 20 TCU
HOUSTON – The University of Houston volleyball team will celebrate its senior class this weekend as it closes out the regular season against No. 20 TCU on Saturday. The Cougars will recognize barakat Rahman and Kellen Morin prior to the match, marking their final appearance at the Fertitta Center.
This weekend’s contest carries significant weight as Houston looks to snap a three-match losing streak against the Horned Frogs and improve its standing in the Big 12 Conference. The Cougars currently trail TCU 8-7 in the all-time series, but lead in sets won 33-25. A victory would also provide a strong finish to the season for Head Coach David Rehr, who holds a 1-2 record against TCU throughout his UH career.
Houston’s blocking game has been a key component of its success, currently ranking 25th nationally and second in the big 12 with an average of 2.61 blocks per match.rahman and Morin are pivotal in this effort, both ranking among the conference’s top six in blocks per set with 1.25 each.
The series history reveals a closely contested rivalry.While Houston holds the overall advantage,TCU has won the last three meetings,including a 3-1 victory in Fort Worth on September 24,2025. At home, the Cougars lead 5-4, and hold a 2-1 edge at neutral sites. Houston’s longest win streak against TCU is four matches, while their longest losing streak is two. In their last five matchups, Houston has a 1-4 record.
