Hotel de la Ville Celebrates Rome‘s Cinematic Legacy with Cinecittà-Inspired Holiday Experience
ROME – The Hotel de la Ville is immersing guests in the glamour of Italian cinema this holiday season with “Rome, the eternal set,” a project deeply intertwined with the history and artistry of Cinecittà Studios. The luxury hotel’s festive décor and new cocktail menu draw inspiration from decades of filmmaking in Rome, offering a unique experience that celebrates both the city’s beauty and its role as a global cinematic icon.
The hotel’s lobby features “The Film Tree,” an installation showcasing images from the Cinecittà Light archive, offering guests an exclusive glimpse into Rome’s cinematic past. Simultaneously, the courtyard hosts “The Master Tree,” constructed from repurposed scenic materials from Cinecittà’s workshops – the “mares” - highlighting the craftsmanship behind the silver screen.
Curated by manager Simona Balducci and created by Cinecittà’s scenographic construction department, the installations aim to capture the essence of cinema both on and off camera. Guests can further explore the archive’s vast collection for free at www.archivioluce.com.
The hotel’s Sky Bar presents Lights, Camera, Cocktails - Once Upon a Time at Cielo Bar, a new collection of drinks crafted by Director of Mixology Simone Di Serio, paying homage to the golden age of cinema.
