Skipylongstocking secured a decisive victory in the $3,000,000 Pegasus World Cup at Gulfstream Park on Saturday, January 24, 2026, according to results released by Off Track Betting.
The four-year-traditional horse, ridden by T. Gaffalione and trained by S. Joseph, Jr., completed the nine-furlong dirt race, besting a field of competitors. The Pegasus World Cup is a Grade I stakes race.
Also at Gulfstream Park on January 24th, Destino D&Oro, with jockey J. Alvarado and trainer B. Cox, won the Pegasus Filly & Mare Turf, a Grade II stakes race for fillies and mares four years old and up, covering 8.5 furlongs on turf. Knightsbridge, ridden by J. Alvarado and trained by W. Earlier in the month, on January 18th in Japan, Green Energy, ridden by K. Tosaki and trained by Y. Uehara, won the Keisei Hai, a Grade III race for three-year-olds over ten furlongs on turf. Goltzschtal, ridden by R. Sakai and trained by H. Sugiyama, won the Nikkei Shinshun Hai, a Grade II race for four-year-olds and up over twelve furlongs on turf.
At Santa Anita Park on January 11th, Paradise Lake, ridden by J. Hernandez and trained by P. Eurton, won the Robert J. Fair Grounds hosted the Lecomte Stakes on January 17th, with Golden Tempo, ridden by J. Ortiz and trained by C. DeVaux, emerging victorious in the Grade III race for three-year-olds over 8.5 furlongs on dirt. Accelerize, ridden by F. Prat and trained by T. Pletcher, won the Louisiana Stakes, a Grade III race for four-year-olds and up over 8.5 furlongs on dirt.
The Essex Handicap, a Grade III race at OP on March 21, 2026, was won by Skippylongstocking, ridden by Husbands and trained by Joseph, Jr., according to Horse Racing Nation results. The Louisiana Derby-G2 at FG on the same date was won by Emerging Market, ridden by Prat and trained by Brown.
