Last-Minute Holiday Deals Are here: A Guide too Green Monday and New Year’s Sales
Retailers are rolling out final discounts as the clock ticks down to Christmas and beyond, offering shoppers a last chance to snag deals on gifts and personal purchases. While Black Friday and Cyber Monday grab headlines, savvy consumers can still find notable savings during Green Monday and the post-Christmas New Year’s sales events.
Green Monday, a sales event created by eBay in 2007, represents the final push for deals before the holidays. Originally intended as the last day to guarantee shipping before Christmas, faster delivery times have extended thes sales, with discounts now stretching through December 24 and potentially into Christmas Day itself. Retailers often brand these as ”last-minute” sales.
In 2024, Green Monday sales are expected to continue the trend of extended discounts.
The shopping doesn’t stop there. From December 26 through January 1, New Year’s sales offer another prospect for savings. Retailers capitalize on shoppers returning unwanted gifts and spending holiday cash, while also clearing out older inventory – especially in tech. This period is often one of the best times to buy a TV or find a deal on a gaming monitor, coinciding with the annual Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
