Hebei Province Unveils “Artificial Intelligence +” Action Plan to Drive Innovation
SHIJIAZHUANG – Hebei Province has released its ”Artificial Intelligence +” Action Plan, outlining a strategy to bolster artificial intelligence (AI) innovation and large-scale implementation across key sectors. The plan focuses on strengthening application demonstrations in areas with robust data resources and established industrial systems, with a particular emphasis on Xiongan New Area, Langfang, Shijiazhuang, Baoding, Tangshan, and Zhangjiakou.
The initiative aims to establish leading areas for AI development and accelerate its integration into industries throughout the province. Specifically, the plan calls for strengthening AI research and development capabilities in Xiongan New Area and Langfang, and for opening up the entire AI chain – encompassing computing power, data, models, and applications – to achieve breakthroughs in key areas and fields.
Other cities will leverage existing strengths: Shijiazhuang, baoding, Tangshan, and Zhangjiakou will capitalize on application scenarios, data annotation bases, and computing power centers to promote deep AI integration.
To support this growth, Hebei will invest in bolstering foundational capacity. This includes constructing the Zhangjiakou-Langfang computing power supply corridor and accelerating the creation of smart computing power clusters around Beijing, alongside the development of Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei public computing power service platforms. The province also plans to launch high-quality datasets and corpora, foster collaboration within a trusted data space, and accelerate the construction of the baoding national data annotation base.
further support will be provided through the establishment of provincial engineering research centers, manufacturing innovation centers, and technology innovation centers. The plan also prioritizes attracting and cultivating high-quality AI enterprises, incubating small and medium-sized technology companies, and enhancing talent introduction, education, research support, career development, and evaluation mechanisms.
