Houston Christian Volleyball Bolsters 2026 Roster with Two Key Transfers
Houston Christian University (HCU) Head Coach Trent Herman has announced the addition of two impactful transfers,Enisilina Savelio and Emma Wild,to the Huskies’ 2026 recruiting class. The pair will join the team this spring, bringing valuable collegiate experience to a programme looking to build on its recent success and navigate a competitive Southland Conference landscape. This announcement comes alongside the previously announced early signing period commitments from high school standouts Malaya Balina-Ayers, Leighton Hale, and Katelyn Vo, creating a well-rounded incoming class for HCU [[3]].
Experienced Setter Savelio joins the Huskies
Enisilina Savelio, a 5’11” setter, arrives at HCU after a standout junior season at Lander University.Savelio was a consistent force for the Bearcats, starting all 31 matches and racking up an impressive 1,082 assists across 118 sets. Her ability to orchestrate the offense was evident in her 16 double-double performances and four triple-double efforts. A especially strong performance against winston-Salem State saw her contribute 11 kills, 42 assists, and 19 digs in a single game. She also achieved career-highs of 48 assists against Augusta and 22 digs on two separate occasions [[2]].
Prior to Lander, Savelio spent two seasons at East Tennessee State University, gaining valuable experience in a Division I environment. During her time with the Buccaneers, she demonstrated a strong defensive presence, averaging 1.73 digs per set as a freshman and contributing consistently to the team’s back row.
Wild adds Offensive Firepower from the Outside
Complementing Savelio’s playmaking ability is Emma Wild, a 5’9″ outside hitter transferring from New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). Wild made an immediate impact during her rookie season with the Highlanders, appearing in 20 matches and 63 sets. she showcased her offensive capabilities with a season average of 2.08 kills per set, while also contributing defensively with 2.19 digs per set [[1]].
Wild consistently delivered for NJIT, recording five matches with double-digit kills, including a career-best 13 against Saint Peter’s.Her all-around game was highlighted by a career-high 17 digs at Binghamton, resulting in her first career double-double.
