The drug test results for comedian Hasan Can Kaya, who was detained as part of a narcotics investigation centered in Istanbul, have come back negative, according to reports from Turkish media outlets. Kaya was released under judicial control following his statement to authorities.
The results of the blood and hair sample analysis conducted by the Forensic Medicine Institute indicated the absence of any illicit substances, multiple news sources confirmed. News agency Haber7 reported the outcome on February 13, 2026, citing journalist Adem Metan’s social media post as the source of the information.
Prior to the release of the test results, Kaya had publicly stated his confidence in a negative outcome. “I said it then and I say it now: I have never had any business, connection, or use of any prohibited substance in my life,” Kaya said, according to Birgün newspaper. He added that he would transparently share the results of the test, which he characterized as stemming from a false accusation.
Kaya further expressed gratitude to those who had supported him, stating, “I thank all my friends, viewers and followers who did not doubt my righteousness even for a moment and shared their support and love messages with me. With the strength I get from you, we will continue to make jokes and do good deeds, to benefit the world and our country.”
The investigation continues for other suspects involved in the broader narcotics operation, authorities have indicated. The initial operation, launched in recent months, led to the detention of numerous public figures, according to reports.
