Actor Randall Park celebrates his 52nd birthday today, March 23rd. Park, born in Los Angeles in 1974, has grow a prominent figure in both comedy and dramatic roles across television and film.
He is widely recognized for his portrayal of Agent Jimmy Woo within the Marvel Cinematic Universe, appearing in Ant-Man and the Wasp (2018), Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania (2023) and the Disney+ miniseries WandaVision (2021). Park also starred as Louis Huang in the ABC sitcom Fresh Off the Boat, which ran from 2015 to 2020, earning him a Critics’ Choice Television Award nomination in 2016.
Beyond his television work, Park co-wrote and co-starred in the 2019 Netflix romantic comedy Always Be My Maybe, alongside Ali Wong. He recently made his directorial debut with the 2023 comedy-drama Shortcomings. His earlier roles include a memorable appearance as “Asian Jim” on The Office and a recurring role as Governor Danny Chung in the HBO series Veep.
Park’s filmography also includes portraying North Korean dictator Kim Jong Un in the 2014 comedy The Interview and Dr. Stephen Shin in the DC Extended Universe films Aquaman (2018) and Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom (2023). He also played FBI Special Agent Edwin Park in the 2025 Netflix series The Residence.
Park, a graduate of the University of California, Los Angeles with both a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree, continues to work as an actor, comedian, screenwriter, and producer. He has been married to Jae Suh Park since 2008 and they have one child.
