Hannah Montana Pop-Up: LA & NYC 20th Anniversary | Disney+ Special
A pop-up experience celebrating the 20th anniversary of the Disney Channel series “Hannah Montana” opened this weekend in Los Angeles, offering fans a nostalgic look back at the display that launched Miley Cyrus to stardom. The event, located at an undisclosed address in Los Angeles, precedes the premiere of the “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” on Disney+ and Hulu on March 24th.
The anniversary special features an in-depth interview with Cyrus, hosted by Alex Cooper of the “Call Her Daddy” podcast, and will recreate iconic sets from the series, including the Stewart family living room and Hannah Montana’s wardrobe, according to Disney+. The special will also include appearances from Cyrus’s mother, Tish Cyrus, and her father, Billy Ray Cyrus, who also starred in the original series.
Disney+ is currently offering a promotional bundle of Disney+ and Hulu for $4.99 per month for the first three months, a deal that runs through March 24th. A standard, ad-supported subscription to the Disney+/Hulu bundle typically costs $12.99 per month. The special will also feature a performance of “The Best of Both Worlds,” the show’s signature song.
Following the Los Angeles event, a similar pop-up experience is scheduled for next weekend in Recent York City, located at 9 W 8th Street. Disney+ has encouraged fans to follow their social media channels for further details regarding the New York event.
The “Hannah Montana 20th Anniversary Special” is described as a “love letter to fans,” filled with behind-the-scenes footage and archival material from Cyrus’s personal collection. Sam Wrench directed the special, which also stars Miley Cyrus, Alex Cooper, Tish Cyrus-Purcell, and Billy Ray Cyrus.
