Hannah Brown is heading back to classroom to study interior design
Years after reality television fame interrupted her working life, Hannah Brown is heading back to the classroom to study interior design—a path she initially abandoned due to the harsh realities of self-funding her education.
The Arithmetic of an Interrupted Ambition
As an undergraduate majoring in Communications and Public Relations, Brown wanted to study design. She revealed to her online followers that she had to forego that specific academic path because she was paying for her own education entirely out of pocket.
The math simply did not work. Switching majors at that stage would have extended her time in school by an additional five years because none of her completed coursework credits overlapped with a design curriculum.
From Reality Television to the Showroom Floor
The Season 15 Bachelorette shared details about her education plans through a series of posts on her Instagram Story, according to bachelornation.com. Brown explained that she is currently enrolled in a small, intensive interior design course that fit into a strict window of availability.
Before gaining widespread recognition on reality television, Brown worked as an interior decorator roughly a year after finishing college. That initial professional stint involved starting on a showroom floor before eventually securing and managing independent clients of her own.
Domestic Life and Modern Renovations
Since marrying her husband, Adam Woolard, in a ceremony on the French Riviera last year, Brown has continued sharing updates about her domestic life and home renovations with her online audience, paving the way for a return to her earlier creative roots.
