Hamid Latreche: Where is the Ex-SocGen Banker Now? | eFinancialCareers

February 12, 2026 Priya Shah – Business Editor Business

Hamid Latreche, recently appointed head of fixed income trading for Société Générale in Singapore, appears to have already departed the French bank, according to reports and his own LinkedIn profile. The bank has declined to comment on his status.

Latreche joined SocGen in June 2025 from BNP Paribas, where he had worked for nearly 24 years, progressing from the bank’s operations team. His registration with the Monetary Authority of Singapore (MAS) does not reflect his tenure at SocGen, instead showing his last registered position as being with BNP Paribas from 2018 to 2024.

Currently, Latreche’s LinkedIn profile states he is “seeking new challenges.” He did not respond to requests for comment regarding his departure from SocGen, according to reports.

Prior to taking the role at SocGen, Latreche took an eleven-month career break during which he served as an advisor to a skincare website founded by a former BNP Paribas FX trader. During this period, he stated he gained experience in artificial intelligence, e-commerce, and the skincare industry.

Latreche is an experienced Head of Trading, specializing in securities financing across all asset classes, and has over 500 connections on LinkedIn. He holds a degree from Universite de Lyon 2.
