The Gyeonggi Province government announced on Wednesday it will begin recruiting eight small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) to participate in the 2026 Paris K-Premium Consumer Goods Show, scheduled for June 18-20 at Paris Expo Porte de Versailles, Pavilion 5.
The initiative, according to a press release from the Gyeonggi provincial government, aims to establish a foothold for Korean consumer goods in the European market. The province will cover expenses including one-way airfare, 50% of interpretation costs, and booth rental fees for selected companies.
The K-Premium Consumer Goods Show will feature a broad range of consumer products, including medical and health goods, beauty and cosmetics, home appliances, IT products, and daily necessities. Organizers anticipate 200 companies and 500 booths, building on the success of last year’s event which drew 6,400 buyers and 29,341 visitors, according to the Newstown report.
Companies specializing in cosmetics and daily necessities are eligible to apply. The selection process will consider marketability, export performance, and preparedness for overseas expansion, the Gyeonggi provincial government stated. Applications will be accepted online through the Gyeonggi Province Overseas Marketing Support System until March 6.
“Recently in France, there has been a steady increase in preference for K-consumer goods such as Korean-style skincare and food,” said Kim In-soo, head of the Gyeonggi Province Economic and Trade Bureau, in a statement released by the Yonhap News Agency. “We will actively support the excellent consumer goods companies of Gyeonggi Province to increase brand value and achieve tangible export results at Paris, the gateway to the European market.”
The Gyeonggi provincial government will host a preliminary briefing session for selected companies following the conclusion of the application period in mid-March, according to Aju Economic Daily.
