Guilty Gear Strive Season 5: Jam Kuradoberi, Ver. 2.00 Release Date Revealed
Arc System Works announced a substantial update for Guilty Gear Strive, with returning character Jam Kuradoberi slated to arrive on April 9, 2026, alongside the launch of Version 2.00. The reveal came during the Arc World Tour Finals 2025-2026 competition.
Jam Kuradoberi’s return features her signature martial arts style, incorporating a variety of kicks and a fiery aura. Gameplay footage showcased overhead, low, and straight kick attacks, as well as a unique parry move assisted by a bunny companion.
Also confirmed for Season 5 is Robo-Ky, with a release planned for summer 2026. Two additional characters are scheduled to join the roster in winter 2026 and spring 2027, according to the announcement.
Version 2.00 will introduce significant changes to the game’s balance, impacting the entire roster. Specific characters – Sol, Nagoriyuki, Leo, and Ky – will receive novel moves. A key mechanic shift will see the Wild Assault replaced by a new system called Counter Blitz, described as a heavy follow-up extension activated on counter hits. The update will also include new character colors and accessories.
The updates represent a major content drop for Guilty Gear Strive, with the development team promising further details in early April.
