The highly anticipated Grand Theft Auto VI is now available for pre-order in Brazil, but at a price point that has startled gamers. The digital retailer Loaded has listed the game for R$655.79 (approximately $130 USD), significantly higher than initial expectations.

The listing, which appeared on February 24, 2026, has fueled speculation about the final retail price of the game. While Rockstar Games and its parent company, Take-Two Interactive, have yet to officially comment on the price, the Loaded pre-order suggests GTA 6 could become one of the most expensive games ever released in Brazil. According to reports, the price is 63% above the typical R$399.90 price range for AAA game launches in the country.

The high price tag follows similar listings in other markets. In Europe, the Xbox version of the game is listed at £89.99, while the PC version is priced at £60.99, though the PC version’s availability remains unconfirmed by Rockstar. The US price currently stands at $124.19.

Development of GTA 6 has been a lengthy process, beginning in 2018 and spanning approximately eight years. The game has faced two official delays. Originally slated for release in late 2025, the launch was first pushed to May 26, 2026, and subsequently to November 19, 2026, with Rockstar citing a desire to ensure the game meets player expectations for quality.

The initial release of GTA 6 is confirmed for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X and Series S. Industry analysts anticipate a PC version will follow approximately one year later, consistent with Rockstar’s previous release patterns. The game’s development and anticipated scale have led to expectations of a substantial price, but the Loaded listing has amplified concerns among Brazilian gamers.

Loaded, known for selling game codes and DLCs, often utilizes placeholder prices before official announcements. Yet, the R$655.79 listing has intensified debate about the affordability of the next installment in the blockbuster franchise. Neither the PlayStation Store nor the Xbox Store have yet initiated pre-orders for GTA 6.
