South Korean consumers are increasingly turning to online retailers for pre-processed fish products, with demand for hand-filleted Korean whiting, known as gajami, showing a significant uptick. Several online platforms currently offer packages of the fish, ranging in size from 120g portions sold individually to bulk options of 30 fish.

SSG.com currently lists “Baeda’s Treasure” hand-filleted gajami, sold in 120g packs of ten, while Enuri Price Comparison displays options for 30-fish packages of the same product. Danawa, another price comparison site, shows a 30-fish package available for 42,210 won with free shipping. Smaller packages of five and eight fish are also available through various retailers, according to Danawa’s listings.

Paldo Gam, an online marketplace, is offering 20-pack options of “Baeda’s Treasure” hand-filleted gajami for 26,260 won, a 15% discount from the original price of 30,900 won. Shipping from Paldo Gam is estimated to take up to three business days.

Danawa’s product information indicates the fish has been available for purchase since November 2019, with the manufacturer listed as Haemirae. The site also notes varying prices per 100g depending on the package size, ranging from 1,005 won to 1,728 won.
