Though, security experts recommend all Android users prioritize updating their devices, irrespective of employment status, due to the confirmed exploitation of these vulnerabilities.
December’s security bulletin represents a “bumper update” for android, with multiple vulnerabilities being addressed. While CVE-2025-48633 and CVE-2025-48572 are the most pressing concerns, the update encompasses a broader range of security enhancements.
Google emphasizes the speed and seamlessness of its update process for Pixel users. “You will receive a notification once the system update is available for your device,” google states. “We encourage you to check your Android version and update to receive the latest software.”
Samsung has also released updates to address the vulnerabilities, but the rollout is expected to take the entire month of December, leaving manny users exposed for a longer period. Unlike Pixel, Samsung’s update process is not seamless for all devices, particularly older flagships.
