Google Forms Now Accepts Payments with Payable Extension

Google Forms, a widely used tool for data collection, has expanded its functionality with the integration of secure payment options through Payable, a Google Workspace Marketplace add-on. The extension, launched in December 2025, addresses a long-standing limitation of Google Forms – the inability to directly process payments – and has already garnered over 463,000 installs, according to Payable Inc.

Its simplicity has made it popular among a diverse range of users, including business owners, educators, and event organizers. However, the lack of integrated payment processing required users to rely on external solutions or manual invoicing.

Payable’s add-on bridges this gap by allowing form creators to seamlessly integrate payment options directly into their Google Forms. The system calculates payment due based on user selections and directs them to a secure checkout page. The add-on supports multiple payment providers, including PayPal, Stripe, Square, Rapyd, and Razorpay, offering users flexibility and choice.

The process of integrating Payable into Google Forms is straightforward. Users install the add-on from the Google Workspace Marketplace, then access it within the “Add-ons” tab during form creation. Selecting “Make this form payable” activates the payment functionality. Form creators can assign monetary values to different answer options, enabling dynamic calculation of the total amount due.

Security is a key feature of the Payable system. Payable Inc. Emphasizes its partnerships with major payment processors – Google, PayPal, Stripe, and Square – to ensure a secure checkout experience for users. Upon form submission, users receive a detailed breakdown of their selections and are directed to a checkout page that automatically adapts to the visual theme of the original Google Form, creating a seamless user experience.

Payment data is automatically synced with the connected Google Sheet, mirroring the standard data collection process of Google Forms. This integration streamlines workflow and allows form creators to manage submissions and payments in a single location.

The Payable Forms add-on is available free of charge, with paid features available for more advanced functionality, according to the Google Workspace Marketplace listing. The add-on requires permissions to view and manage Google Forms, create and update Google Apps Script projects, access and modify Google Sheets, display web content, connect to external services, and send emails on the user’s behalf.
