Colorado School of Mines Golfers Ace Academic All-District Honors

GOLDEN, Colo. – The Colorado School of Mines is celebrating a trio of its men’s golf team members, as Max Lange, Carter Lolli, and Lukas Taggart,have all been named to the College Sports Communicators’ (CSC) Academic All-District At-Large team. This prestigious recognition highlights their achievements both on the golf course and in the classroom.

Orediggers Excel Academically and Athletically

Lange and Taggart are repeat honorees, while Lolli earns his first career Academic All-District selection. All three are juniors majoring in mechanical engineering, demonstrating their commitment to rigorous academic pursuits alongside their athletic endeavors. They also earned First-Team Academic All-Rocky Mountain athletic Conference (RMAC) honors in late May.

  • Max Lange: Participated in 10 tournaments,averaging 73.62, with a 15th-place finish at the 2025 RMAC Championships. He concluded the season with under-par scores in the final three spring tournaments,including a two-under T47 showing at the NCAA West/South Central Regional.
  • Carter Lolli: Achieved three top-15 finishes in eight tournament starts, including T10 at the RJGA Palm Valley Classic, T11 at the RMAC Championships, and T13 at The Writz at Mile High. He recorded the team’s lowest round of the year with a 66 at the RMAC Championships and averaged a career-best 74.05 for the season.
  • Lukas Taggart: A Second-Team All-RMAC selection, Taggart averaged 74.07 as a junior,securing four top-25 individual finishes. He had three consecutive top-20 finishes around the winter break, including 16th at the Ryan Palmer Foundation Invite and T14 showings at both the Otter Invitational and Las Vegas Desert classic. He also finished 23rd at the RMAC Championships.
