LOS ANGELES, CA – November 21, 2025 – Sarah Jessica Parker will receive the 2026 Carol Burnett Award from the Golden Globes, recognizing her significant contributions to television, both as a performer and producer. The proclamation comes as the Golden Globes prepares to present the award, alongside the Cecil B. DeMille Award to Dame Helen Mirren,during a new annual primetime special titled “Golden eve.”
The special will air on CBS and stream on Paramount+ on Thursday, January 8, 2026, at 8:00 PM ET.

Parker, a six-time Golden Globe winner, is best known for her role as Carrie bradshaw in HBO’s Sex and the City and its sequel, And Just Like That. She has also received Emmy and SAG Awards for her work. Her film credits include Hocus Pocus, Hocus Pocus 2, The Family stone, Failure to Launch, The First Wives Club, Ed Wood, and Mars Attacks!.
The “Golden eve” special builds upon the success of last year’s inaugural golden Gala, which honored viola davis and Ted Danson. The program will feature a retrospective of parker and Mirren’s careers, including personal stories and memorable Golden Globes moments.
