GIVERS Reunion: Indie Pop Band Returns to New Orleans & Jazz Fest 2024

March 24, 2026 Emma Walker – News Editor News

New Orleans indie-pop band GIVERS will perform a pre-Jazz Fest demonstrate at the Toulouse Theatre on April 23, marking their first performance with the original lineup in seven years, before appearing at the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival on April 24. The band—comprising Tiffany Lamson, Taylor Guarisco, Josh LeBlanc, Kirby Campbell, William Henderson, and Nick Stephan—plans to recreate their 2011 debut album, In Light, at both shows.

The reunion comes after a period of inactivity following several appearances in New Orleans in 2019. GIVERS initially formed in Lafayette, Louisiana, in 2008, arising from an impromptu performance after another band cancelled a gig. Their first set was entirely improvised, a foundation for the sound that would define their early work. A year later, they released their self-titled debut, followed by In Light in 2011 on Glassnote Records.

In Light garnered positive attention upon its release. SPIN magazine described the album as “giddy,” noting its “bubbly beats, luminous guitars and synths, and most of all, the exuberant voices of Taylor Guarisco and Tiffany Lamson.” The review suggested the album was “best absorbed in small portions, allowing you to savor the seriously catchy melodies and uplifting vibes.”

The Toulouse Theatre performance is part of the “Fest by Nite” concert series, a collaboration between Live for Live Music and GMP Live. Live for Live Music, a subsidiary of SPIN, curates late-night shows during the New Orleans Jazz & Heritage Festival.

Following GIVERS’ Toulouse Theatre performance, J & The Causeways will cap a Jazz Fest double-header with an Elton John tribute show, according to Live For Live Music. Break Science is also scheduled to return to New Orleans for a late-night show during Jazz Fest 2026, as reported by Live For Live Music.

Tickets for the April 23 GIVERS show at the Toulouse Theatre are currently available through Live for Live Music and GMP Live.
