Giardini di Mirò: ‘Quasi Casa’ – Final Concert Released on Limited Vinyl + Listening Party
The final concert of the Italian band Giardini di Mirò, recorded on March 19, 2023, at the Circolo Kessel in their hometown of Cavriago, will be released as a double vinyl album titled Quasi Casa on June 12, 2026. Pre-orders for the limited edition vinyl began today, March 19, 2026, and are available through 2ndrec.com.
The album, which translates to “Almost Home,” was unexpectedly discovered after the band’s disbandment, according to a press statement. The recording captures a performance that, unbeknownst to the band and audience at the time, would be their last live show. The concert was originally the concluding date of their “Voiceless” tour, which focused on the band’s instrumental repertoire following the surprise release of their suite, Del Tutto Illusorio, in 2021.
Giardini di Mirò, formed in the late 1990s, consists of Corrado Nuccini, Jukka Reverberi, Mirko Venturelli, Emanuele Reverberi, Luca di Mira, and Lorenzo Lanzi. The band has cultivated a sound blending elements of post-rock, psychedelia, and electronica throughout their over two-decade career.
“It was a special date because the band had never really played a proper concert in their hometown,” said Nuccini and Reverberi in a joint statement. “That’s the place where we started rehearsing and composing. In that space our first songs were born, from Rise and Fall of Academic Drifting to Punk… Not Diet!, Dividing Opinions, Decent Luck, Different Times, up to Del tutto illusorio. Even our first EP, Iceberg EP, was recorded there. Everything began there, and there, by an incredible twist of fate, everything as well came to an end.”
The 70-minute album features a completely instrumental setlist, encompassing the band’s extensive discography of ten albums, collections, and soundtracks. The recording includes a short segment, a “jukkiloquio,” taken from the live performance.
Quasi Casa will be available only on vinyl and as a digital download; it will not be released on streaming platforms. A listening party is scheduled for Tuesday, March 24, at 8 pm CET on Bandcamp, where band members will be present in the chat. The double vinyl edition includes a 16-page booklet with liner notes and visual material, and pre-orders include an exclusive 30×30 cm risograph print in fluorescent pink.
The band stated, “We started at the end of the nineties with the idea that making music could improve life, first of all our own. Giardini di Mirò was born in a season in which many bands were looking for a musical journey marked by a utopian tension.” They added that their decision to disband reflects a change in the context from which they emerged.
