Orlandina Basket’s Newest Star,Gianmarco Bertetti,Eyes Serie B Success
Capo d’Orlando,Sicily – Orlandina Basket has made a meaningful offseason acquisition,bringing in play Gianmarco Bertetti as the team prepares for its Serie B campaign. This marks Bertetti’s first experience at the national Serie B level, and the club is banking on his leadership to propel them toward their ambitious goals.
“The city breathes basketball, it’s nice to live it and I am finding myself very well,” Bertetti stated.”I am honored to be here,everyone knows the great history of the club. I played against it when I was in Serie A2 and surely this season will be very crucial because we have great ambitions. With all the companions we are well and I can’t wait to start.”
The team is building on a strong foundation, retaining six players from last season and integrating the new additions. Bertetti emphasized the group’s unity and potential for growth. ”We have large margins of growth which I am sure we will show during the season. The secret will be to work hard in the gym, together we are very well.”
Bertetti credits his father, a forty-year veteran basketball coach, for instilling in him a passion for the game. He fondly recalls making his Serie A2 debut with Biella at just sixteen years old, a memory he cherishes.
Despite the anticipated energy from their home crowd – a factor that proved decisive last year – Orlandina Basket will begin their season with an away game against Fidenza in the province of Parma.
